This is a spot where I share pictures of the different cakes I have decorated. No recipes are attached, but I hope you enjoy the inspiration!
This cake was for my younger sister’s birthday. The horns and ears are marshmallow fondant and the rest is frosting. There were four layers inside, each a different bright color, unfortunately I don’t have a picture of the diced cake. There is also a mist of edible shimmer on the cake.
This is a BB8 cake completely decorated with frosting. The base was made with two hemisphere molds and the “head” with a bowl.
This Dino cake’s belly, feet, and spots were made with marshmallow fondant. The spikes are chocolate melts, and the rest is buttercream. It was a chocolate cake filled with whipped cream and raspberries.
This Chewbacca is a funfetti cake with edible cookie dough filling and a little “sprinkle surprise.” It’s decorated with chocolate buttercream and marshmallow fondant painted with black food coloring.
These are 8 mini cakes I made for my birthday party, a personal cake for each guest. They were each two layers of vanilla cake with 3 filling options: coconut cream, bananas foster caramel, or huckleberry jam. They are frosted with whipped cream and buttercream roses. Each rose was airbrushed a different color to indicate the flavor.
This was a chocolate cake decorated with buttercream. I used a star tip to pipe the design and just found a reference photo online.
I made this helicopter cake for my dad. I didn’t have a design to follow, I just made a round cake and broke it into pieces to resemble a helicopter, then frosted in buttercream. The decorations are chocolate melts.
This was a chocolate cake with edible cookie dough for filling, then I just baked small amounts of the same cookie dough for the little decorations. I frosted the cake in regular and chocolate buttercream and I used a frosting comb to help with the design. The drip is made of candy melts.
This is a carrot bundt cake (and a mini one I made with the extra batter). It is drizzled with cream cheese frosting and decorated with crushed pecans and buttercream carrots.
This simple birthday cake is a super moist dark chocolate cake frosted with dark chocolate buttercream and decorated with little gold sprinkles.
